\u201cRecommended Practice for Machinery Installation and Installation Design\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>

This document provides recommendations for the correct installation of rotating and reciprocating machinery<\/strong> in the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries.<\/p>

It primarily covers pumps, compressors, turbines, motors, and generators<\/strong>.<\/p>

This standard addresses key topics such as foundations<\/strong>, grouting<\/strong>, shaft alignment<\/strong>, mounting<\/strong>, piping<\/strong>, and installation tolerances<\/strong>.<\/p>

It aims to reduce premature failures<\/strong>, excessive vibrations, and alignment issues.<\/p>

This document is intended for engineers, assembly supervisors, installers, and inspectors<\/strong> and emphasizes good field practices<\/strong>, not just design.<\/p>
